COVID 19 has laid bare weaknesses in disability rights that the community had thought it had successfully fought for with the passage of the Americans With Disabilities Act 30 years ago. We highlight the case of Michael Hickson, a disabled African American in Texas, who may have been pushed into hospice care, and ultimately died, just because he was disabled.
