COVID-19 Disability Community Organizing Call – Monday April 6 3:00 pm ET

The coronavirus pandemic and the response to it significantly impact the disability community and our allies. So far, the policies passed and implemented largely leave us behind. Despite strong advocacy from disabled people across the country, there are many outstanding disability community priorities that Congress has failed to prioritize in any of the previous relief packages, including increased funding for home and community based services, paid family medical leave that includes families with disabilities, and access to personal protective equipment, medications and supplies.

The American Association for People with Disabilities and the Center for American Progress, in collaboration with The Arc, the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, the Center for Public Representation, the Little Lobbyists, National Council on Independent Living, and the Partnership for Inclusive Disaster Strategies invite you join us a call on Monday, April 6 at 3:00pm ET focused on a community-wide advocacy effort to elevate our concerns and make sure people with disabilities are not left out of coronavirus relief efforts.
